Cotton is a natural fibre that is biodegradable. The cotton fibre is robust and has a wear resistance that is only surpassed by certain synthetic fibres. These natural properties provide cotton products with very good durability.
POLYESTER
Polyester is a synthetic fibre with excellent durability. The fibre is often used in a blend with cotton, viscose and wool to extend the durability of the garment. Garments made from polyester have excellent durability, colour retention, quick drying and minimal creasing.
Rayon is another name for viscose, the difference is that rayon fibres are shorter than viscose fibres. Rayon is a regenerated wood fibre which is naturally degradable. Often rayon is used as an alternative to silk, as the fibre fineness can achieve the same lightness as silk. Rayon has good durability and keeps its colour better than cotton. In addition, rayon has the same good absorbency as viscose which makes the garment comfortable to wear on hot days.
