Linen is a natural fibre. The flax plant, from which linen is made, requires minimal water and fertiliser. Flax is a hardy plant that also resists insects, wind, and harsh weather. Linen is obtained from the stalks of the plant. A durable material, linen is admired for its cleanness, its sheen, and its beautiful texture, which is slightly uneven. Viscose is a regenerated wood fibre that is biodegradable and in the same family as with cupro, modal and lyocell. Often, viscose is used as an alternative to silk, since the fibre fineness of viscose allow for the same lightness as silk. Viscose has good durability and retains colour better than cotton. In addition, viscose has a good absorption capacity, which makes the clothes comfortable to wear on hot days.
